ABRAHAM LINCOLN CAPITAL AIRPORT, SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS
1200 CAPITAL AIRPORT DRIVE, SPRINGFIELD, IL 62707
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announces its approval of a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) on a Condensed Environmental Assessment (EA) prepared by the Springfield Airport Authority. That finding is for proposed FAA actions to allow the Airport Authority to:
Acquisition of approximately 5 acres of vacant/agricultural land in fee simple
title, and the purchase of a SRE truck (plow truck with snow removal blade).
FAA's FONSI, approved on March 1, 2011, indicates the proposed FAA actions and the local development project are consistent with existing environmental policies and objectives as set forth in the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and will not significantly affect the quality of the environment.
The FAA's proposed actions are:
- Issue an environmental finding to allow approval of the Sponsor's Proposed Action for the development listed above.
